About DEL branding

The DEL logo

The logo was designed by Caroline Koi. Caroline recently graduated with a BFA in Communication Design from Texas State University with an emphasis in publication, branding and identity systems. Her work entails print and digital mediums that turn ideas into visual systems and experiences. She has been inspired by many interdisciplinary designers who build brands that inspire change for a better future. The opportunity to collaborate with the DEL team to create a design for the logo allowed for a visual symbol to represent its identity, and an openness to collaborate and work together.

The logo is the letter DEL in all caps, with an open box surrounding them.

The homepage graphic

this is a collage of red, black and white doodles and images. The Core Image is 3 colleagues laughing and talking to each other. There is an image of a large audience in red/white and then other colleagues in red/white. This shows the combination of elements that bring together DEL.

The 2025 homepage illustration was made by DEL committee member Benjamin Andrew. Photos of the 2024 conference in Singapore are combined with the familiar grid interface of Zoom meetings to connect DEL’s in-person and virtual programming. The archive of DEL In Between recordings is a rich library of ideas and inspiration that is available to spark inspiration and sketch out future collaborations.
